The African Resistance History Museum is dedicated to preserving and honoring the accomplishments, sacrifices and commitment of Self Liberated Gullah people in the Anti-Slavery Resistance including the Anti-African systems that followed the Emancipation of formerly enslaved Africans in America.

    FOREVER WARRIORS

      This series honors Gullah men and women who resisted oppression from 1526 to 1898. It remembers the Princess Oma Odoko of the Igala Kingdom, San Miguel de Gualdape Revolt, the Stono Rebellion, the Seminole Wars, the Negro Fort, and the fighters who joined the American Revolution. Together, these works illuminate a long, determined struggle for autonomy that shaped the history of the United States.
